Boardman ADV 8.9 - Cycling Plus

TOP GEAR?

The Tiagra of Boardman manages an extra gear and the 48/32 FSA chainst gives a lower top gear and smaller jumps along the cassette, but the same climbing-friendly one-to-one ratio bottom gear.

EASY RIDERS?

A little slower that a road bike on tarmac but grips on gravel that to the Schwalbe tyres in a bounce-absorbing 38mm width and tubeless-ready rims. The handlebar's flared drops deliver control on tough surfaces.

VERDICT

The 31.6mm seatpost adds firmness through the saddle and the bar narrows quickly from the stem. Both minor issues on what is another competitively priced bike from Boardman
