    Overview

    Updated for 2019, the CXR 9.2 frameset offers the handling, versatility and performance-enhancing benefits of the CXR bike range, but allows you to choose your own custom specification.

    With the 2017 Cyclocross National Trophy-winning frame as its foundation, the 2019 CXR 9.2 frameset is sure to build up into a seriously fast bike. We've added extra tyre clearance at the chainstays and seat stays meaning the 2019 CXR range keep turning for longer than the competition in thick, muddy conditions, and we've also designed a brand new fork. This not only increases the tyre clearance but also has a longer offset, which reduces the chance of the front end folding underneath you in tight, slow turns - a mainstay of the UK cyclocross scene.

    The solid, oversized down tube, PF30 bottom bracket and chunky chainstays remain, ensuring none of the power you put into the pedals is wasted, while the seat stays have a thin, flattened profile to deliver vertical compliance at the rear end, improving both comfort and rear-wheel traction. Fittings for Flat Mount disc brakes complete the package, giving outstanding control on any type of course

      Wishbone seat stays offer shock absorption for greater comfort and control, combined with clearance for 37mm tyres and mud

      The CXR range has been designed to be ridden hard and fast across almost any terrain. We have combined slim, wishbone seat stays and oversized, box section chain stays to give a perfect blend of comfort, control and efficiency.

    • i Tapered C10 Carbon Fork

      A tapered, full carbon fork with a 1 1/2 inch lower headset bearing increases stiffness and steering precision

      The interface between the fork and the headtube is responsible for transmitting all of your steering inputs into your wheels, so is a key component in giving you confidence in your bike's handling.

      We use an oversized 1-1/2" lower headset bearing to allow a smoother flow of fibres from the fork crown into the steerer tube, increasing both stiffness and durability of the fork. This translates into better steering feel and control, helping you navigate through deep rutted mud or dodge potholes on your way into work.

    • i Thru Axle & Disc Brakes

      Flat-mount Hydraulic disc brakes give consistent, powerful and controlled braking in all conditions, combined with 12mm front and 12mm rear thru axles for optimal strength and steering precision under hard braking or cornering

      When riding off road, you need power and control from your brakes. The hydraulic disc brakes throughout the CXR range offer huge amounts of braking force, which you can control with just a single finger, meaning you can adjust how much braking power you are using in a fraction of a second. This lets you fully exploit the grip available from your tyres to bring you to a stop in as quick a time as possible.

      When this is combined with thru axles, which securely lock your wheels into the dropouts, the result is outstanding braking and steering, perfect for slaloming through the trees or sliding through the mud.

    • i Tubeless Ready

      The Boardman CXR Elite wheelset and Clement MXP Tyres are tubeless ready. With tubeless valves supplied with the bike, all you need to do is add sealant (Bikes only)

      The Boardman CXR Elite wheels are tubeless ready and come fitted with rim tape out of the box. With the tubeless ready Clement tyres already fitted, all you need to do is add sealant and inflate. Removing tubes from your tyres eliminates the risk of pinch flats, allowing you to run lower pressures for improved grip, and the sealant should stop any punctures before your tyre deflates.
