The ASR range is the product of several years of suffering through the depressing rain and cold of many, many British winters. It's a bike designed to be ridden in all weathers - mudguards fitted as standard keeps both yourself and your bike clean, and clearance for up to a 32mm tyre means you'll never be lacking in comfort or grip. With reflective grey decals running through the frame and on the mudguards, you'll definitely stand out on a dark winter night.
The ASR 8.8 matches these features with a 4130 Cro-Mo steel frame and Shimano Sora groupset, with stopping power provided by TRP Spyre disc brakes. Simply put, it's the perfect winter machine.
The ASR 8.8 geometry is influenced by our award winning MTB and Hybrid bikes to increased stability, comfort and control for long days in the saddle when the rain is coming down and the mercury plummets. The bikes have a longer top tube, head tube and a slacker head angle compared to our SLR bikes to keep handling stable, but use a shorter stem to keep steering lively for making corrections if you do loose grip.
