The Boardman AIR series has a pretty impressive palmares with multiple Olympic medals under its belt. That made it an exciting challenge to develop for 2019– how do you improve one of the world’s best? We’ve stuck to the same formula which has proved so successful, but have refined the AIR frameset to make it faster and more real-world rider friendly.
With a brand new truncated aerofoil down tube and seat tube, developed as part of an extensive Aero R&D process, the 2019 AIR offers an even faster ride in any wind direction. The 2019 AIR frame, combined with our new T10 aero fork which takes a standard external brake, delivers gold medal-winning performance with everyday usability.
Aerodynamic performance isn’t much use if the frame doesn’t transfer power to the road efficiently too, but with an oversized PF30 bottom bracket shell and new, tapered box-section chainstays, the AIR frameset makes sure every possible watt makes it to the rear wheel.
