"We're very excited to enter into this partnership with Momentum Sports Group and the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team. From the start, it has been our goal to see our bikes raced at the highest level and it forms a milestone in our evolution as a world-class bicycle brand. We are particularly happy with this union - they share our passion, vision and have demonstrated a real commitment to create a Pro Continental team with ambition, desire and the funding to become one of the world's foremost cycling teams."
Alan Ingarfield, CEO Boardman Bikes.
When Thierry Attias, President of The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team was asked How did the Team come to choose Boardman bikes? What specifically drew you to them? his response was...
"We were in the process of looking for a high quality bike brand that created great product and would give us a competitive edge. After meeting with Boardman and hearing them talk about their bikes, their ethos, and their philosophy about the way they build them, we knew instantly it was the right partnership for us. Boardman is focused on creating quality product and the best bikes possible at every level, at every price point.
Everything they spoke about was in parallel terms to what we do with our program. We are extremely happy and excited about our partnership with them. Also, there is the Chris Boardman factor. Working with Chris has been fantastic. We want to push the innovative thinking of the bike out of the box and Chris is right there with us. He has a hand in all elements of the bike design and creates a tremendous time trial (TT) bike. The difference between winning and losing a stage race is often the TT bikes and Boardman makes one of the best in the world. The team there spends more hours in the wind tunnel perfecting their aerodynamic frames. They are always striving to improve and constantly looking for smarter ways to be better all the time."
